UK producer, Junia Ovadose "Hubba" kicks the EP in fine style, blending slipping beats, techy synth stabs, and a grooving bassline with a great vocal stab which, if we hear right, is the robot from "Buck Rogers" (!) on a lengthy peaktime swinging houser On the flip, "Blues Is Born" keeps the swinging theme, but with a definite jazzy tilt this time out, utilizing some great samples from the big band jazz era alongside techy bleeps and pulsing dubby beats and bass, resulting in some superb bumping jazzy house grooves "About Time" completes this sublime trio of cuts with more jazzy elements as a focal point, with a stellar jazzy piano line combining effortlessly with more bumping and swinging beats, a great funky trumpet, and a killer upright bassline NOT to be missed
